The “Star Trek Original Series Set Tour” is an amazing place, located roughly two hours north of Albany in Ticonderoga, New York.
We are in the early stages of planning an organized group outing. This will take place on Tuesday, July 16th. Please note: this is the day before the convention formally starts on Wednesday, July 17.
The very general plan at this point:
- Meet at the Albany Airport Inn on the morning of Tuesday, July 16
- Those who have cars will carpool with others who have arrived by plane/train/bus
- Those not driving will contribute for gas money
- Entry fee will be paid in Ticonderoga – this event is separate from regular convention registration fee
We will post more details here as the plan comes together.
We already have at least six attendees who have told us in their RSVP that they are looking forward to this Ticonderoga outing, so we have plenty of interest. It will happen.

William Shatner, AKA Captain James T. Kirk
Captain Kirk himself, William Shatner, will be in Ticonderoga the weekend of July 12-14.
You will notice this is just a few days before our event begins. We signed the contract for our July 17-21 dates before we knew about the Shatner dates.
After much internal discussion, we have decided to not organize any group effort to attend during these days.
